Waiting for my Toco-8. Should I still supplement with regular Vitamin E or is Toco-8 sufficient by itself?

Toco-8 is sufficient enough, especially when taking two doses a day

I not a big fan of most multivitamins…

You would be way better off with a whole food based concentrate. Until will come out with our own product, "Superfood" from Biotest is one of the better whole food vitamin concentrates right now.

Would a mixture of Superfood, toco-8, and protein go well together? The product you mentioned seems really, really interesting. I could imagine it might have a synergistic effect in skin and hair rejuvination with all that anti-oxidant action going on. Combined with the resveratrol in your sustain product it seems like a knockout combo.

I will have to try this out, along with making some other lifestyle changes.

Yes, the Toco-8 would mix well with anything. Its very water soluble.

I wish I knew the vitamin data for that Superfood. Toco-8 has me intrigued.

I forgot to mention that it has been stated that the d-alpha tocopherol in most multi-vitamins will actually block the absorption of the tocotrienol vitamin E in toco-8.

I think it would be of interest for me to also state that I've read people saying sesamin oil improves the absorption and bioavailability of tocotrienols.

Just a question on the label concerning the pherols. Is the dosage of d-gamma-tocopherol really 315 micrograms, not milligrams? If correct, the ratio of alpha to gamma (tocopherol) still seems pretty high. A better ratio would be gamma-tocopherol > alpha-tocopherol, right? At least that's what I keep reading on other sites, where they say that alpha depletes gamma and that gamma is really the good one for cardiovascular health.

I think I would like it more if the 315 mcg was a typo, and you really meant 315 mg.

The problems with standard vitamin E supplements are:

1. They only have the alpha tocopherol. That leads to imbalances. That's why diets high in vitamin E have lots of benefits, but those supplemented do not have them.

2. They have way too much. These "megadoses" of vitamin E actually cause radicals to form and increase risk of diseases and reduces lifespan.

Hope it helps.

It is mcg (micrograms) on the gamma, so its not very high.

However, most all of the research on tocotrienols is from the exact same ratio that we use in our Toco-8 (palm fruit extracted), so you can be sure you are getting the benefits that we advertise.

It is correct that if you supplement with additional alpha-tocopherol you may mitigate these benefits, but the amount naturally present in the Toco-8 is not enough to interfere with the benefits from the tocotrienols.

I just eat it straight. I like the taste. EndoAmp too. But I'm no connoisseur (more like a connoisewer ).

Wow, reading this just kinda bummed me out. I'm just starting my PCT and have my order of Sustain + Toco-8 on the way. I just opened up my brand new bottle of Complete-Balance by AN.. One of the ingredients is Vitamin E (as D-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate) 30 IU 100%.. is this going to counteract the absorption of Toco-8?

Supplements are often 400+ IU's of Alpha-Tocopherol. That's the big no-no. 30 IU's won't be that big of a deal; if you check the Toco-8 label it itself contains 44.7 IU's.

Awesome, so mixing the 2 won't be a problem? And should I use the toco-8 first thing in the morning, or at night before bed? Which ever it is, I will take my multi at the opposite end of the day.. also, should the alpha be used at the same time as the toco-8? Thanks in advance..

Alpha... Sustain Alpha or Alpha-Tocopherols? Don't take any extra alpha-tocopherols, Sustain Alpha is fine with Toco, as you can tell my the TRS lol.

I suggest taking the Vit E with a fatty meal since it is lipid soluble.

question about Toco-8
I see it will raise testosterone, and will not cause hair loss.Great.
But will estrogen be raised. I am concerned about increased estrogen for prostate health.
I know the estrogen will not promote hair loss, but will there be a rise in estrogen?
thanks

Replied on the other site, but Sustain Alpha is a weak AI. And look into I3C/Dim.
