Eric told me last week that the Distiller should be coming in the next week, so they may have it now. The distiller is an incredibly important part of the formulation process. I'll break it down:
- Raw herbs wild-harvested from various regions around the planet (or organic)
- Herbs sent to UnderTheYew.com (local Oregon tincturist company), where they are extracted with organic alcohol into a liquid tincture
- Distiller removes alcohol from the liquid tincture
Result
100% herbal liquid, ready for formulating
This is to ensure that we aren't putting alcohol on our scalps as, even if it is organic, it's still not a friend of our hair.
As far as I know, the October 1 date is still what Primordial is shooting for. However, I requested that I be sent the product to trial on myself a couple weeks before mass producing it for the trial to make sure everything is cool!
You guys sure are a patient bunch. Thanks for hanging in there.

I'm interested to see the pictures you have of people that used PM topically and saw good results. Just wondering if you could post them? I'm stoked for the trial! Thanks for your hard work.
Also, will the product have to be refridgerated?

I'll try to dig up the pictures for you. It's only two pictures, unfortunately, as there was never an official study done on it. Dr. Sandford Schwartz, CEO of Smith Naturals, has developed his own proprietary liquid PM extract that we are using in 2/3 of the HairGen trial solutions. The other 1/3 will be lacking it, but will have every other ingredient present. This is just to isolate the effectiveness of PM.
Anywho, back to Dr. Sandy. He has his own PM topical that you can actually purchase from him (though the Thailand shipping rate is something like $40, each bottle is $20), and that formulation has been picked up by someone on Forbes 100 to be the sole distributor in the USA, according to the good doc. A couple of people have voluntarily submitted pictures to him after 9 months or so of usage, and according to Dr. Sandy, Oliver Stone himself used it and said it's the only thing that he's used in all of these years that has actually helped his hair.
But, I'll get you those pics as soon as I find them!

You're welcome bud and to answer your question, liposomal encapsulation. So, the benefits of liposomal encapsulation are actually three-fold...
1) No alcohol, which causes irritation on the scalp which can exacerbate hair loss.
2) Better penetration to the follicle.
3) Ingredients preserved naturally
Everyone else--
They're putting together the equipment as of yesterday (the distiller), which takes some time. I think things are still a go for October, but man what a wait it's been!

I got off the phone with Eric a few days ago after an in-depth conversation about HairGen. Here were the big talking points--
1) The herbs are very potent. Eric mentioned that a bit of the Red Panax Ginseng is felt within your body within a few minutes. We spoke of using these herbs to create other products as well. Anything ranging from virility to more energy at the gym (or sack! ha)...the potential here is huge.
2) Instead of extraction with alcohol, Eric is hiring a consultant on his new distiller regarding lipid-based extraction. This would be *phenomenal* for the formulation.
3) The product will wind up most likely being a brown, cream-like color and it'll be more of a leave-in conditioner post-shower than a liquid. At first, I wasn't too sure about this, but this is due to the encapsulation method and Eric said that it should still be something that you can put in your hair and wear throughout the day.
Essentially, you'd apply it after a shower, let it sit for about 10 minutes on the scalp, and then towel-dry it off your hair while the product remains on the scalp. I'll have a better idea when I acquire a sample to test, but this may also be something that would do well as an overnight topical as well. Ideally, both during the day and night if desired.
4) It's pushed back until late November. Due to having to hire a consultant and a few things that Eric had planned in early November, we probably won't be able to get it rolled out to everyone until then. However, I most likely will have a sample of the product in early November to test for everyone before anything official occurs, which is awesome.
That's about it for now!

WIULifter--
recommended usage with rogain and/or dht blockers (fin/dut) ?
Continue to use fin/dut if you're using it throughout the trial. Careful with Duta though, that's especially nasty on your body's hormones.
if so how should topicals be applied in conjuction
If you're using Rogaine, continue to use Rogaine throughout the trial and apply it at a different times. I recommend HairGen right after a shower.

I got it on my rack, my sack, and my back and I constantly remove it from all areas. That said genetics removed it from my head and I'd sure like to have it back.
